Mumford & Sons

I saw Mumford & Sons perform with The Avett Brothers & Bob Dylan at the Grammys & I've been pretty much all about them ever since then! Here's a video just for you all! Happy Sunday!! Today, I'm preparing for my Annual Oscar Party!! The Oscars are one of my favorite events of the year! I look forward to it all year long! I posted my Oscar predictions on my other blog.

10 Favorite Things

I wrote this really fabulous post yesterday with all my favorite baby names right now, but then my friend Diana reminded me that I have lots of pregnant friends & I don't need to share my names so that no one will steal them!! So I moved on to the next topic on my brain... I was thinking the other day about how I tend to be really loyal to certain things when I find something fabulous that I like! Just for fun, I started trying to think of my 10 favorite things that I use or do or read or watch regularly. The list obviously doesn't include my family or friends because they would top any list of favorites. So using only things , this is the best I could do... 1.Young Adult Vampire Stuff Twilight , Buffy , Vampire Diaries - I love all those! True Blood , I just can't do. So I finally realized I am a young adult vampire fan. I always said I didn't like Buffy for the vampires - it was the satirical & sarcastic humor. I didn't like Twilight for the vampires ...

It's Like Book Crack

I have a confession to make. I have been slacking on my blog. It may not seem like it because I’ve posted a lot this week, but I like to post once a day & I like to read/comment on other blogs for at least a few minutes every day & I seriously went a couple of days without really doing much of anything with my blog. This is completely allowed, of course. It’s MY blog & I can do with it what I want. I also have a family & friends & people I need to see in real life. But I must confess that they are not why I have been slacking on my blog. Eclipse and Breaking Dawn Movie I have been slacking on my blog because I saw the Eclipse movie TWICE & have now started reading Breaking Dawn again & it has sucked me right back in to the phenomenon that IS the Twilight Saga !   This did not happen with the other two movies! This is the problem with the movies actually being as good as you could expect a movie from a book to be (which is not n...

Eclipse!!

Twilight and Breaking Dawn Movie Maybe it was the new director, maybe it was Bryce Dallas Howard as Victoria, maybe it was that after the first 2 I was just used to them being bad that anything better would seem like major improvement, but I absolutely LOVED Eclipse ! I loved that it was a little more dark & scary vampires rather than cheesy & stupid vampires without being completely violent & disgusting vampires (like True Blood which I can't handle). I liked that it showed the back stories of Jasper & Rosalie without being all smoky & grainy like the other movies. I liked that their eyes were distinctly red, brown or black, but normal looking & not crazy like New Moon & not too subtle like Twilight. I guess I've gotten used to the bad acting, too because it didn't bother me - although I was still aware of it. The wigs were still bad & Kristen Stewart still just makes me feel generally awkward & embarrassed. But overall I really re...

Where are my Twilight moms??

Breaking Dawn and Breaking Dawn Movie I have scheduled this post to show up as I am starting my fabulous girl date with my best friend Diana!! We are seeing Eclipse!!! Can I first say that I am horribly embarrassed by the picture I found above for the movie & I hope it's a fan-created pic & not an official poster. Either way, I am definitely one of those women who got ridiculously enthralled in the young adult novel phenomenon that is Twilight. I am Team Edward all the way although I still think Robert Pattinson was a horrible choice for the role in the movie. On that note, I think the majority of the people were a horrible choice for their roles in the movie. Argue with me if you must. Bring it on, Twilight moms! But I am still totally sucked in to seeing the movies. Above is a picture of us at dinner before seeing the first movie a couple of years ago! (I'm on the left & Diana is right next to me with the brown necklace.) Tonight, we are going to dinner ...

Summer Reading List!

I’ve been deciding on some summer reading recently & I found this list of 15 books being made into movies soon! Buzzsugar created the list & it had several books that I’m really interested in reading!! I already read Water for Elephants & I absolutely loved it!! I can’t wait to see Robert Pattinson, Reese Witherspoon & Christoph Waltz as the leads in the movie ! I think it’ll be awesome! Since reading the list of 15 books, these are the ones I’ve added to my summer reading list: One Day by David Nicholls The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson 20 Times a Lady by Karyn Bosnak I’m With the Band by Pamela Des Barres The Emperor’s Children by Claire Messud An Ex to Grind by Jane Heller Eat Pray Love by Elizabeth Gilbert Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin Something Blue by Emily Giffin I currently have Something Borrowed , An Ex to Grind and The Emperor’s Children from my local library & I started Something Borrowed 2 day...

10 Dorky Things About Me

Decided I'd share a little about  myself today. Somehow that turned into sharing dorky things because really, when it comes down to it, I think the dorky things are the best things about me. I love Twilight - the books, not the movies (as if somehow that makes it cooler). Although, I must admit, I have still seen the movies several times & bought both of them. I also have purchased my tickets in advance for the Eclipse movie. Even though I am not crazy about the movies, I seem to have this need to be a part of their transition to film. Dorky? Um, yes. I watch the entire season of Friends at least once a year. My husband and I used to watch an episode a night from the time we were dating up until Isis was born. Then, understandably, things got crazy. We have recently started again with Season 1. I have seen them all so many times that I can play several of the episodes in my head in their entirety. It's like a party in my brain. I have seen Newsies more times than any oth...
