Chosen Design

I know several of you who read this have older children. Well, older than the ones that wear onesies, but either way! When Lewis' band went on tour, we stayed with a family and their friends in Sonora, California. Nina and Ryan were the couple that Lewis and I stayed with. They were absolutely amazing. They were and are such an encouragement to know! They are now my friends on Facebook and I saw that Nina started a shop on Etsy called Chosen Design. She makes adorable - and super cool - onesies!! Check them out here ! I definitely plan on buying at least one if not more! I think they're awesome!!

How do you unwind?

This has been quite a week for me. It was awesome with the ultrasound & then turned pretty crappy on Thursday through today. There's been family drama and friend drama and I just hate drama in general. I'm trying to stay calm and relaxed because I know stressing would be bad right now. How do you all relax & unwind to keep from allowing yourself to be super stressed? I've been trying to read & play my Sims 3 game & watch videos like this one... Now if that doesn't brighten your day right up, I don't know what will!

Baby Names

So we've come up with some names... For a girl, we love Isis . Maybe Isis Aurora. It's different without being super weird and I don't know of any other baby girls named Isis around here!! For a boy, we like Knox . But here's my problem: that is what Angelina Jolie named her son. That annoys me to death!!!! Is everyone going to think I named my kid after her son? Because she's okay and everything, but I like that name DESPITE OF the fact that she named her kid that. Not BECAUSE she did. I don't know...what do you think? We're pretty much sold on Isis. You can probably bet on that being the girl name if it's a girl. We are not 100% sold on Knox, but only because of the Angelina thing. We also like the name Jett. But that's a celebrity's kids name too!! Grrrrrrrrr.

Ultrasound!!!!

Our doctor visit on Wednesday was amazing!! I loved my midwife!!! Her name is Melissa Courtney and she was wonderful! I am even more excited than I already was after talking to her! She made me feel a lot better about everything! They said the baby looks great. It is exactly 10 weeks. So my due date is still January 5, 2010. It was moving and wiggling around a lot when they did the ultrasound! I don't think either of us were expecting it to be so mobile! It was amazing! We even got a picture of it looking like it's waving to us! I'm going to scan the pictures and I'll upload them after I do that. Right now I have the picture above that is a picture I took with my iPhone of the ultrasound picture - so it's not really clear. One thing I am really excited about is that we are going to do a different kind of prenatal visit. I'm going to Lexington Women's Health at Central Baptist and my midwife (Melissa Courtney) is leading a group called Centering. You go once

Difficult Question

Image Source I have a question. A legitimate, sincere question. But with the way I think, it will be phrased as paragraphs and asked as like 12 mini-questions with an overall theme about what we are raising children to BE. Now, first let me say that I'm a pretty opinionated person in general in my life. I tend to over-think and over-analyze everything - especially the things I care a lot about. So if you happen to spark a conversation about something that I really care about, my response or opinion may be longer than you would have anticipated simply because I give a lot of thought to the concepts I care about. Since I am pregnant and hormonal and opinionated and observant, I've been taking in a lot of different parenting styles and decisions around me. And no, I am not yet an official member of the "Mommy Club." So you can still throw out the "you'll understand when..." statement, but I wish that you wouldn't. I wish that in response to this, you wo
