Ingenue Mom

I totally dropped the ball this week on my Weekend Reading . I've been busy trying to get ready for starting my student teaching next week & I've just really lost some momentum with my blog reading & commenting. That makes it hard to craft a post based on great things I've read lately when I haven't read much!! So I'm catching up on my reading & commenting tonight & in the meantime I decided to let you all into a little of my Google Reader action. I currently am subscribed to 188 blogs or websites on my reader. They are organized into 22 folders. Here are a few of the blogs in a new folder I recently created called "Blog Buddies!" These are bloggers that I really consider friends. They comment regularly on my blog & many of them have emailed back & forth with me! This list doesn't include everyone in the folder, but I didn't want to give away all my secrets!! Plus it gives me a few more I can share if I get too overwhelmed ...

This week I wanted to share on two different topics. First, there have been a lot of wonderful breastfeeding posts recently. I think it's possibly due to August being National Breastfeeding Month. I wanted to share some of the great breastfeeding posts I've read lately!! Also, check out my breastfeeding update ! Melissa at Confessions of a Dr Mom wrote a beautiful post called Breastfeeding Broke My Heart . It is an absolute must-read for any mother. Amy at Somebody's Parent & Lori at Mommyfriend both weighed in on the recent breastfeeding comments made by a certain celebrity supermodel. Nikki at Mommy Oblongata shared her breastfeeding story . Becoming Sarah also shared her story as well as linking to this great post called The Dirty F-Word . Asashia at A Practical Mom asked you - to breastfeed or not to breastfeed ? Freckled Nest is hosting an online sewing class for beginners! A Beautiful Mess posted a recipe for indoor S'mores that I think looks awesome & I can't wait to try it!! Famous Bloggers shared how to turn first-time commenters into loyal readers ! GOOP 's newsletter this week was about PPD & the story by Bryce Dallas Howard is really worth the read. If you haven't joined in on The Mommyhood Memo 's weekly meme , you should definitely check it out! Mommycrat awarded me with the Sugar Doll Award! She is so sweet!! Go check out her blog!

I don't remember how I found Ann Marie at Household 6 Diva , but she has an absolutely fabulous list of Blogging Resources !! I still haven't made my way through the whole list, but I love it so far!! Melissa at Dear Baby posted about what she's been doing to make her own baby food ! I knew she had been adding some spices & different flavors for her daughter, Everly, but now she's shared her favorites so I'm going to try them as well! Nadia at Fun With Mama has made a great To Do List for the Problogger 31 Days to Build a Better Blog challenge that I'm participating in with the SITS girls community ! This is for my own benefit, but people have been getting involved in discussion over at my BlogFrog Community & I would absolutely LOVE it if you would join in as well!! First I must say how utterly excited I am that Forever 21 now has a maternity line !!! It is my favorite store & now that they have kids clothes & maternity clothes , it's just complete!! Kenny at Smonk You posted about floor beds again this week, which I find so interesting! I'm considering them for our next child. I just love seeing pictures of his little Miloh rolling all over the floor!! I am neither a man nor very manly, but I love the blog The Art of Manliness !! Check out their post this week on A Man and the Boutonniere . This blog is both helpful & hilarious at the same time somehow. I think it's awesome! I read several blogs about blogging & one of them is ChurchCrunch . He posted this week about how to use Snagit to capture screenshots on websites. I look forward to this post all week! I love sharing my finds!! I've also been "sharing" posts through my Google Reader on Google Buzz or whatever it's called. I'm new to this!
