This is completely gratuitous, just me posting pictures of Isis, but my friend Hannah took some pictures of our family yesterday! She is such a great photographer & she is also going to be watching Isis for me in the fall when I start my student teaching. I feel so blessed to have her as a friend on top of the fact that she takes gorgeous pictures of Isis!! I also realized that I didn't put any of the ones where she is smiling in this post. This just means I'll have to post more another time! Get excited! (And this is not a great comment-grabbing post , but who cares? This is for the digital baby book!) 1. PostSecret  I don't have nearly as much to say about any of the others, so that's why this one is first. I wrote about why I liked it one time & this is what I said (Feb. 14, 2008): I love people. I love their hope, their pain, their strengths and weaknesses, their love and joy, their despair and sorrow. I think that the stronger the depth of emotion, the more vulnerable and open someone has allowed themselves to be to the world. I think there is no great love without great loss, or at least the possibility of it. I think there is no great achievement without a certain amount of failure. I think our turbulent past opens the door to a future that is bright and open because we have learned the lowest we can go and we've decided to keep moving forward. Buffy  Buffy the Vampire Slayer Duh, did you read my other post about how much I love Buffy? I love that she is girl power personified. She's strong, but vulnerable. She goes through a lot. She has great friends. She just rocks. Chandler Bing Friends He's completely hilarious. Who doesn't love Chandler? He never fails to make me laugh. I love the sarcasm & the quick wit, but at the same time, when he gets serious or choked up, I totally break down.  Sheldon Cooper  The Big Bang Theory Oh he's so wonderfully weird and quirky! I love the OCD & the complete inability to recognize sarcasm or humor. Bazinga! Temperance Brennan Bones She's another one with complete social awkwardness.
