Kid's TV Shows!

On Thursdays until I start my long term sub, I'm watching my best friend's 4-year old. Sometimes during Isis' naps, we will watch a TV show! So, since Isis still isn't watching TV yet, I'm able to gather my info on my favorite current kid TV shows for when she does start watching a little TV! Here are my favorites right now!


I also love to watch the old classics on Boomerang!! Looney Tunes, Captain Planet, The Flinstones, The Jetsons, Yogi Bear & Pink Panther all come on Boomerang!!

Pudge loves Imagination Movers, Handy Manny and Sesame Street. He'll actually stop what he's doing just to sit and watch them. Sometimes he'll watch Mickey Mouse Club House.

However, we have banned Barnie in our house.

I confess, this will be something that will be hard for me to get used to. I never have liked cartoons and the the 2 channels we have are rarely looked at: Boomerang and Cartoon Network. We do have a large collection of Veggie Tales videos that we got from my sis (whose kids outgrew them) and we'll probably get her Barney ones, too, soon. But he doesn't watch much TV, really. He does get excited when I turn on a Veggie Tales - he just loves Bob and Larry. :)

My eldest loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Bob the Builder, and especially Scooby Doo! Little Bear and Toot & Puddle were favorites when he was a little younger.

How can you stand to watch Yo Gabba Gabba? Tried it a few times and just couldn't do it. :-)

This is completely gratuitous, just me posting pictures of Isis, but my friend Hannah took some pictures of our family yesterday! She is such a great photographer & she is also going to be watching Isis for me in the fall when I start my student teaching. This is technically a 10 on Tuesday , but the idea is from Mama Kat's Writer's Workshop ! 10 of My Worst Pet Peeves 1. People who don't wash their hands - especially after going to the bathroom. Ewwwww 2. The smell of burps - or just being able to smell a burp. 3. People who interrupt when others are talking. 4. Scratching people with my bare fingernails 5. Gristle in chicken 6. When people sing the harmony part with a song on the radio 7. People who are trying to turn in a non-turn lane - or people who wait until the last second to get in the turn lane 8.
