The important thing after reading tips like these is to apply it to you. How am I going to use these tips to better my blog? Here's what I've decided:
Determine who I would consider my 10 People from the First, Ten post
Find a way to reward those that share my links
Try to encourage discussion
Start using Flickr exclusively when I search for images
Focus on grassroots, networking & several of the other models for building my blog
Write more How-To, Definition, Resource & List posts
Do some research on using email & email newsletters with my blog
Learn what my money pages are
Think of blog comments in the long-term & focus on building relationships
Make it clear that I reply to comments - in my comments section
Also include a message in my comment entry space that says I reply through email
Get more active on Digg & StumbleUpon
Think about people & building relationships when I leave comments - not spamming
Declutter my site, fix my search option & use relevant anchor text in my links.
Clearly define my goals, work on my titles & get more familiar with Delicious.
Brevity - reduce, reduce, reduce - series of posts, think forward, link to people.
Again, remember to comment in my own comments section!
Whew!! That was a lot of useful info & things I need to apply to my own blog!
What did you learn from the links?
What other links are helping you learn how to better your blog?
And P.S. - my post analyzing Dear Baby was featured on the weekly wrap-up on SITS!!
