[UPDATE: I have received so many wonderful requests for guest blogging that I am no longer accepting requests. I am so excited for you all to read the guest posts from the fabulous moms I have chosen!]
I need to take 2 weeks off from blogging this summer. 1 week I need to just take time to write posts for this fall so that I won't be completely overwhelmed with being a mom & a blogger & then doing my student teaching. The other week I'm going to take off is the week I start my student teaching so I can just focus on that!

So I've been inspired by my 2 friends - both named Emily coincidentally - who are pregnant & due this fall/winter. I want to have 2 weeks with posts just for them & women like them who are expecting their first babies! I know for me it was definitely an exciting, scary & overwhelming time! I really valued the advice of close friends & people who had been there before.
Here's where I need your help! I'm going to have one week - August 2-6 - which will focus on birth stories! I want 5 guest bloggers for the week each to post their birth story. It can be one you've already written & posted on your blog & we can just copy it here or it can be something you write just for this! But I'm going to pick out 5 different stories. I want different perspectives. Ideally I'd love to have a natural birth story, a c-section story, an epidural story, etc. 5 different perspectives of what that day can look like - on top of the fact that the day looks so different for each of us anyway! If you're interested in sharing your birth story, please email me! All you need to tell me right now is about 2-3 sentences of what your birth was like so that I know what type you had so I make sure to get different perspectives. Also include a link to your blog!
The other week I want to do August 30-September 3. It's my first full week of student teaching. That week, I want 5 guest bloggers to share your pieces of advice for a new, first-time mom. Think specifically about those first 6 weeks or so. What was hard for you? What worked well for you? What didn't work? Things like this. I also want 5 different perspectives for this one. I'd love to have one mom who breastfed, one mom who formula fed, maybe a mom who had a special situation like a baby who was early or had PPD or baby blues or someone who didn't have any baby blues. Anything like that. If you're interested in sharing some tips for a new, first-time mom, please email me & include a few brief sentences with your general perspective or strategies so I can try to pick 5 different perspectives! Also include a link to your blog!
I'd love these to be well-rounded weeks where a new mom or future mom can see different strategies that can be used & different things that work. I've said so many times that each baby is different & each mom is different so what works for one may not work for us all. I'm going to post on Sunday of these weeks with my story, then I'm going to post 1 guest post per day. I may also do some sort of linky each week if you all want to link up your birth stories or your new-mom tips!
Please email me by July 18! I'm going to choose a total of 10 different guest bloggers & I'll post who I've chosen on July 23!
Thank you so much for your help!!!
