I get a surprising amount of weird questions or ridicule simply because I have a blog. People act like it's a ridiculous thing or that it's silly or that I'm a part of something that not a lot of people do. Once you start to investigate and read blogs and be a part of the blogging community, you find that is far from the truth. Our culture and world as a whole are continuously moving further and further toward greater and more intricate technologies in all aspects of our lives. You can have whatever opinion you want about the growing use of technology, but the fact is, if you're going to participate in society in the future, you're going to have to be able to use these technologies - if for no other reason than to keep up with your children, grandchildren or students.
