Some moms are crazy!!

I just absolutely cracked up!!! This is hilarious!!! Moms really can be crazy! Although, I have to say, I did some of the things the crazy pink lady was talking about, but I definitely don't think that what I'm doing works for everyone. It's not a competition. That's one of the biggest things I've learned since becoming a mom. We are all SO different. Every mom is different. Every baby is different. What works for me can be recipe for disaster for another mom & baby! I don't understand why we can't just let each other do what we do. We are all just doing the best we can to raise healthy, happy kids! In the beginning, I felt such opposition to what I was doing because I guess some of it was different. I'm not really sure, but I found myself needing to defend my decisions. You can probably see some of that in my earlier posts. But now, I'm just doing what I can. I've learned what works with Isis & with our family & that's really all I can do!

Thanks Lori for sharing this on Mommyfriend!! It really made me laugh a lot!

Can you imagine how much easier it would be if moms supported one another instead of judging? I'm as guilty as the next mother.
I saw this about a week ago & I cracked up too. I am more like the crazy one, haha - but not so rude & annoying I hope!

Oh my that cracked me up too!! I even posted it on my facebook - and am tempted to make a blog post about it (making reference to you and mommyfriend, of course). I think even the most annoying mom is acting out of fear - like she's afraid that SHE won't be judged if she doesn't live by all those rules (or, even if she's not judged, she's just afraid of being a mad mom). So I don't let it get to me much :).

That is SO funny!! Reminds me of the time we were at a B-day party and this Mom would not let her kid have a slice of pizza b/c of all the "crap" in it as she put it. Geez, lady...then why did you come? But...know what...the sugar laden, artificial ingredients and dyes in the B-day was perfectly fine...go figure ;)

Um, exactly what qualities do you identify with the Pink chick on? Cuz we might not be able to stay friends. HAHAHA! Just kidding!

Its so sad when mom's compare themselves and their kids in an attempt to come out on top. They miss out on the fun of just being a mom: whether that's a breastfeeding, cloth diapering mom that makes her own babyfood or a mom that uses disposables, buys babyfood, and uses formula. My sister was more in the latter category (I'm more in the first) - but her kids are smart, bi-lingual, and healthy. It just goes to show ya that those in the latter category turn out just fine! :)

Just relax and have fun - enjoy each moment. Don't worry about being the perfect mom who raises perfect kids. (besides, once you turn your back they will ruin your reputation! haha!!!!)

10 on Tuesday: 10 Favorite 6 Month Pics

This is completely gratuitous, just me posting pictures of Isis, but my friend Hannah took some pictures of our family yesterday! She is such a great photographer & she is also going to be watching Isis for me in the fall when I start my student teaching. I feel so blessed to have her as a friend on top of the fact that she takes gorgeous pictures of Isis!! I also realized that I didn't put any of the ones where she is smiling in this post. This just means I'll have to post more another time! Get excited! (And this is not a great comment-grabbing post , but who cares? This is for the digital baby book!) How to Efficiently Read Blogs

Have you ever been just completely overwhelmed by the sheer volume of blogs out there you can read? I have. Wow. So many fabulous people I'm interested in reading about! I love the stories, the humor, the pictures, the tips, the giveaways, the links, I just love it all! So I've found myself having to streamline my blog reading in order to better manage my time & make sure I hit the "must-reads" for me. Here's how I've done it: First of all, if you leave a comment on my blog or if you follow my blog, I will go to your blog & at the very least I will follow you on Google Friend Connect . This way the blog shows up on my blogger dashboard when I log in. I always look over the new posts that are there when I log in each day, but if you've looked at my Google Friend Connect page lately, you'll see that I follow a lot of people's blogs! So I had to come up with a more specific approach in addition to the blogger dashboard. This is where my Goog

5 Blogging Pet Peeves

Blogging pet peeves are obviously going to be different depending on the blogger or blog reader. I am not an expert, but I have been blogging for more than 3 years between this blog & my other one. So I've seen a lot of blogs & read a lot of tips. Here are 5 things from my perspective that will really help you as a blogger &  me as a reader. 1. Offer a full RSS feed Oh my goodness this gets on my nerves!! I don't know if people think that offering a partial feed will get people to click on their page more or something? But really all it does it gets most people from what I've seen to NOT subscribe or visit your blog at all. There are maybe 2 bloggers that I subscribe to their feed even if they don't offer a full feed & that's only because they email & converse with me regularly & in some way make up for the fact that I can't see their feed in my reader. So just offer a full feed.  There is some debate about the issue, but in every debate
