10 on Tuesday: 10 Pet Peeves

This is technically a 10 on Tuesday, but the idea is from Mama Kat's Writer's Workshop!

10 of My Worst Pet Peeves

1. People who don't wash their hands - especially after going to the bathroom. Ewwwww
2.The smell of burps - or just being able to smell a burp.
3. People who interrupt when others are talking.
4. Scratching people with my bare fingernails
5. Gristle in chicken
6. When people sing the harmony part with a song on the radio
7. People who are trying to turn in a non-turn lane - or people who wait until the last second to get in the turn lane
8. People who speak excessively loud in normal conversation
9. Picky eaters
10. Drivers who change lanes every 4 seconds

What are your 10 Pet Peeves?

I don't know if I could list just 10 pet peeves, I'd probably keep coming up with more to replace them... but I agree with all of yours!

Thanks for stopping by, I'm following you now as well :)

Thanks for the follow at Mom of all Trades! I'm following you back.

Some of my biggest pet peeves are:

1. People who don't put their kids in car seats.
2. Closed shower curtains when no one is in the shower (it freaks me out lol)
3. When people keep calling you after you don't answer the phone the first time. (don't they know everyone has caller id?)
4. When a waitress asks 20 times while you eat 'is everything ok?' but then when you're ready for the check she's nowhere to be found.

The list goes on lol.

I totally agree with all of these! Especially #7 which happens way too often where I work. Hello, there is a big red X meaning it is NOT a turn lane!

Hi Cameron,

Your blog is so cute and so is your cute baby girl. I was also studying to be a teacher when I became a new mom. She is now 22 and moved out 2 weeks ago (sniff, sniff)! I'm following you back. Thanks for sharing your pet peeves. Very interesting.

Thanks for finding my blog, of course I'm following back, what a Sweet baby!!!

Oh and my pet peeve is people who go through the 10 items or less lane with 20 + items, then ask for smokes, lottery tickets and cash back. Of course this only happens when I'm in a rush Lol!

Loved your answers :)

What a beautiful daughter! Looks like your a pro not an ingenue!
I also can't stand it when people don't wash their hands after the bathroom. Gross!
I am however one of those annoying people that talk excessively loud in normal conversations, but that's what happens when you come from a large family and your always fighting to be heard :-).
Following you back!

This is a great list! I can't stand when people do not wash their hands after the bathroom either. Some of mine are:
People who don't say thank you when you hold open the door, people who don't say thank you in general, when people talk throughout a movie, and when people throw garbage out of the window of their car! You will do just fine in an upper grade. you can e-mail me and I can help you if you need. I would be happy to. :)

Hi. Nice to meet you.
I am right with you on #4. My husband had surgery lately and is always asking me to scratch his back. I can't stand it, but I don't want to tell him.

I also can't stand the sound of chalk. And people who think it is ok to switch to the wrong side of the road to make a left turn in a esplinade. (You just inspirted me to write a post all about that.)

Following back from FMBT. I hate when people change lanes every second, especially when we're sitting in tons of traffic. It's like where are you going?

Uh oh I am guilty of a couple of these on your list - I am the worst picky eater. I blame it on my mom who fed us nothing but hotdog, pb&j, & mac n cheese since we had no money growing up. My and my 3 siblings all grew up to be picky eaters. I hate it myself & I feed my own son WAY better than what I eat so he won't be picky, lol.

One of my biggest pet peeves is when people feed their little kids soda or energy drinks, esp. when people put soda in a bottle! Oh and I don't like when babies have a bottle or a pacifer after the age of 1.

New follower from Tuesday blog hopping.

Happy Tuesday!

On my list: People who text while driving! A friend on Facebook posted this church sign the other day:

"Honk if you love Jesus. Text while driving if you want to meet Him"

!!

I am totally one of those people who sings harmony to songs on the radio. I am a harmony singer though, what can I say? People who sing loudly and out of key to songs on the radio, that's one for me! :)

10 on Tuesday: 10 Favorite 6 Month Pics

This is completely gratuitous, just me posting pictures of Isis, but my friend Hannah took some pictures of our family yesterday! She is such a great photographer & she is also going to be watching Isis for me in the fall when I start my student teaching. I feel so blessed to have her as a friend on top of the fact that she takes gorgeous pictures of Isis!! I also realized that I didn't put any of the ones where she is smiling in this post. This just means I'll have to post more another time! Get excited! (And this is not a great comment-grabbing post , but who cares? This is for the digital baby book!) How to Efficiently Read Blogs

Have you ever been just completely overwhelmed by the sheer volume of blogs out there you can read? I have. Wow. So many fabulous people I'm interested in reading about! I love the stories, the humor, the pictures, the tips, the giveaways, the links, I just love it all! So I've found myself having to streamline my blog reading in order to better manage my time & make sure I hit the "must-reads" for me. Here's how I've done it: First of all, if you leave a comment on my blog or if you follow my blog, I will go to your blog & at the very least I will follow you on Google Friend Connect . This way the blog shows up on my blogger dashboard when I log in. I always look over the new posts that are there when I log in each day, but if you've looked at my Google Friend Connect page lately, you'll see that I follow a lot of people's blogs! So I had to come up with a more specific approach in addition to the blogger dashboard. This is where my Goog

5 Blogging Pet Peeves

Blogging pet peeves are obviously going to be different depending on the blogger or blog reader. I am not an expert, but I have been blogging for more than 3 years between this blog & my other one. So I've seen a lot of blogs & read a lot of tips. Here are 5 things from my perspective that will really help you as a blogger &  me as a reader. 1. Offer a full RSS feed Oh my goodness this gets on my nerves!! I don't know if people think that offering a partial feed will get people to click on their page more or something? But really all it does it gets most people from what I've seen to NOT subscribe or visit your blog at all. There are maybe 2 bloggers that I subscribe to their feed even if they don't offer a full feed & that's only because they email & converse with me regularly & in some way make up for the fact that I can't see their feed in my reader. So just offer a full feed.  There is some debate about the issue, but in every debate
