I really do get overwhelmed...

(This is her "oh wow mom you have so much to do" face!)

I have had people asking me lately how I get all this blogging stuff done in my life. I'm staying home with Isis, but "staying home" is a whole lot different than just sitting on my butt all day playing with my baby. Oh my goodness! I'm doing laundry, cleaning up, feeding her, playing with her, going to the grocery, running errands, finding time to blog, finding time to feed myself, meeting up with friends for lunch sometimes, working sporadically at the company where I used to work - not to mention the fact that I'm watching my best friend's 2 girls every Tuesday & Thursday (along with Isis)!!! That's a lot for me!! Oh and of course I have to somehow find time to fit in time with my husband when he gets home from work!!

Yes I'm doing the 31DBBB challenge & yes I'm keeping up with my posts & tasks, but I am not yet able to spend as much time as I'd like checking out the other blogs in the challenge! I'm really trying, but I would like to give everyone the attention I feel they deserve & it's just difficult. I'm getting more comments & I really do try to respond to each one, so that takes some effort! I feel like the place I'm really lagging behind is in my blog content that is outside of the 31DBBB. The only thing that keeps me going on this is that I know that my blogging will get much more effective, interesting & hopefully efficient once I've completed the challenge!

So I just wanted to let everybody know that I really do get overwhelmed sometimes & today is one of those times that I'm feeling like things are getting out of control for me. I'm making a list in order to prioritize! I've also got a folder in my bookmarks of "Links to Check Out" and it's getting pretty crazy...

How are you doing with the challenge?
Or with life in general when things get busy??

I just had to stop doing a post for every challenge day. It was getting to be to much trying to write about things like "hey, I read a ton of links about how to fix what I'm doing wrong," and make it interesting.

Now I'm just doing the tasks as they come along, and slipping the writing ones into the rest of my blogging. It took a bunch of the pressure off instantly.
It is overwhelming trying to wear so many hats, being a SAHM is certainly a more challenging role than we ever realize & then add in this blogging addiction... I guess you just have to take each day as it comes & prioritize what has to happen first, take a big breath & move on to the next task. They say what doesn't kill us makes us stronger but it sure doesn't feel thatway sometimes. Good luck with it all. P.S Isis is extremely cute!!!

When it stops being fun, it's time to reassess. Definitely cut yourself slack - you'll go crazy if you don't. Decide what can slide and what can't. Obviously that cutie patootie up there is first priority. You're doing a great job. We all feel overwhelmed from time to time and anyone who says they don't is lying. :-)

Mama don't we all. You're doing a fantastic job. Keep up the good work. And you're watching your friends kids too! Awesome. Its hard being a SAHM, more so than a 9 to 5 job where you can have a quiet lunch and goof off a bit. Have a good day and that photo of your lil girl is so cute (=
Sometimes it's good to just take a break, breath, and enjoy the moment.

Hope your many hats fall into place more often than not.

Don't worry, you are not alone! I just posted about this on my blog! Like you, I have been feeling overwhelmed as of late and stretched too thin! I love blogging, but I had begun to become too obsessive about trying to do everything. My advice: Just do the best you can and try not to worry about anything else!

Reading this blog, and the comments help me feel better to know i am not alone.

I think there is no job harder than a SAHM. We do it all, 24/7, and then some. It get's so overwhelming, especially when the days are so full that we can't find time for ourselves (like blogging), but I guess I still wouldn't trade it all in to go to work.

I know I'd miss this crazy, full, messy, infuriating, wacky, entertaining, stressful, and beautiful life here at home with the madness :)

I completely relate. With two children (and a husband!)to take care of, keeping up with all of this can certainly be daunting. I just attempt to a little bit at a time as I can!

I am so on your team right now. I'm working from 6am until 7pm, then sitting down and trying to get myself into this blogging world. And then working again until midnight. It is so hard to get it right wehn you have kids too. BUT it does pass and then you look back at everything you accomplished with PRIDE. Bravo you! Here, have a Hobnob.

10 on Tuesday: 10 Favorite 6 Month Pics

This is completely gratuitous, just me posting pictures of Isis, but my friend Hannah took some pictures of our family yesterday! She is such a great photographer & she is also going to be watching Isis for me in the fall when I start my student teaching. I feel so blessed to have her as a friend on top of the fact that she takes gorgeous pictures of Isis!! I also realized that I didn't put any of the ones where she is smiling in this post. This just means I'll have to post more another time! Get excited! (And this is not a great comment-grabbing post , but who cares? This is for the digital baby book!) How to Efficiently Read Blogs

Have you ever been just completely overwhelmed by the sheer volume of blogs out there you can read? I have. Wow. So many fabulous people I'm interested in reading about! I love the stories, the humor, the pictures, the tips, the giveaways, the links, I just love it all! So I've found myself having to streamline my blog reading in order to better manage my time & make sure I hit the "must-reads" for me. Here's how I've done it: First of all, if you leave a comment on my blog or if you follow my blog, I will go to your blog & at the very least I will follow you on Google Friend Connect . This way the blog shows up on my blogger dashboard when I log in. I always look over the new posts that are there when I log in each day, but if you've looked at my Google Friend Connect page lately, you'll see that I follow a lot of people's blogs! So I had to come up with a more specific approach in addition to the blogger dashboard. This is where my Goog

5 Blogging Pet Peeves

Blogging pet peeves are obviously going to be different depending on the blogger or blog reader. I am not an expert, but I have been blogging for more than 3 years between this blog & my other one. So I've seen a lot of blogs & read a lot of tips. Here are 5 things from my perspective that will really help you as a blogger &  me as a reader. 1. Offer a full RSS feed Oh my goodness this gets on my nerves!! I don't know if people think that offering a partial feed will get people to click on their page more or something? But really all it does it gets most people from what I've seen to NOT subscribe or visit your blog at all. There are maybe 2 bloggers that I subscribe to their feed even if they don't offer a full feed & that's only because they email & converse with me regularly & in some way make up for the fact that I can't see their feed in my reader. So just offer a full feed.  There is some debate about the issue, but in every debate
