Anticipation...

38 weeks: 90% effaced, 3 cm dilated, -1 station
Stripped membranes again on Wednesday. It's Friday night & we've got nothing.

So I thought I would do okay waiting for her. It's not working out as well as I'd hoped. I keep hearing, "oh you can stay at 2 cm for weeks..." but I'm not STAYING at anything for any amount of time! I've progressed every week. And I'm having Braxton Hicks contractions all day everyday. They literally never stop. They just aren't consistent or getting stronger or closer together. They don't hurt me at all. They just feel like pressure pushing down sometimes. It's more just that I get excited every time I feel one and then it doesn't turn into anything.

If I was going to the doctor each week and I actually WAS staying at like 1 or 2 cm & not really progressing, I wouldn't be quite so anxious about it! I'd be settling in for her to come at her due date or later. But it seems like things just keep moving quickly. And then all the other women in my Centering Class have had their babies! That's 5 women!! And I don't think any of them were as dilated or effaced as I am when they went into labor. What's wrong with me? Why doesn't she want to come out??

haha I'm really okay. And I'm not super uncomfortable all the time - just at the end of a long day when I've had a bra on all day. LOL. But what's your birth story? Do you remember how dilated or effaced you were when you went into labor? Does anyone think this could maybe happen soon?? I just want to meet her!!

10 on Tuesday: 10 Favorite 6 Month Pics

This is completely gratuitous, just me posting pictures of Isis, but my friend Hannah took some pictures of our family yesterday! She is such a great photographer & she is also going to be watching Isis for me in the fall when I start my student teaching. I feel so blessed to have her as a friend on top of the fact that she takes gorgeous pictures of Isis!! I also realized that I didn't put any of the ones where she is smiling in this post. This just means I'll have to post more another time! Get excited! (And this is not a great comment-grabbing post , but who cares? This is for the digital baby book!) Stitch Fix: July 2015

This was probably my absolute favorite Stitch Fix box so far!! Unfortunately, when I scheduled it, I didn't anticipate the amount of money I would have to spend on back to school stuff for Isis. I took her shopping for new Kindergarten clothes & that kinda blew my budget in terms of purchasing clothes for myself. So I had to get super specific about what I wanted to keep & what I didn't....which STUNK SO BAD because this was the first time I wanted to keep all 5 items!!!!! Such a bummer. Oh well, here's the breakdown... First of all, I had asked specifically for work pants that I could wear as a teacher that weren't jeans, but were super comfortable. I also asked for a cardigan & a jacket that I could wear into the fall. My stylist, Amy, clearly checked out my Pinterest board & read my requests because she picked things that looked exactly like me. I absolutely loved this jacket. I had asked for a jacket & here was a perfect, slightly boho k...
